STABCRIFICE is not just a product. It has a purpose, a meaning, and a story. It’s a way to laugh at work-related stress, poke fun at frustrating colleagues, and reclaim a bit of your sanity — all while creating something fun and collectible.
From Corporate Burnout to Creativity
I’m a big dreamer who moved to the UK in January 2016.
Not because of a big business dream — simply because life didn’t go to plan, and circumstances led me here. Over the next 9 years, I worked in various corporate roles. Different companies, different teams, different industries — yet the same personality types kept appearing. Almost as if they were produced in batches. You change jobs, but somehow… Helen, Clive, or Karen is still there.
I’m highly competitive and perfectionist, which over the years often led to burnout. Stress intensified when I became a line manager. I wasn’t handling it very well, and I started looking for ways to cope. At first, I tried the usual ways to deal with work stress.
Swimming became my escape. It worked — at the beginning. But over time, even that wasn’t enough to shake off all the frustration.
One Sunday night, while enjoying fish & chips and Netflix, inspiration struck: what if I could channel my corporate frustration into a creative outlet?
At first, I thought a stress ball might do the trick… but then an idea popped into my head: handmade little stress relief voodoo doll. Then the idea evolved.
Creativity in Motion
By the following morning, I started sketching the very first voodoo doll. Thought it might help other people too, and perhaps make a fun gift or a novelty collectible. Then I drafted additional characters inspired by my corporate experiences.
My brain was racing. My Sunday walks and swimming gradually turned into creative moments — the space where new characters, future products, and content ideas emerged naturally.
I collaborated with a talented graphic designer from Slovakia who turned my detailed sketches into 2D versions of each doll.
Prototypes were produced by multiple manufacturers. After months of searching, I finally found the perfect fit — a company that could bring the designs to life.
Every detail, from the dolls’ hearts to the coffin-shaped boxes and accessories, was carefully designed by me.
Moments of Doubt
It hasn’t been easy. The project has already cost a lot of time and money. I tried other projects before, but none of them felt like this one. This is the one that drives me, the one I believe in the most. I found myself stepping outside my comfort zone again and again.
There were countless times I felt like giving up — manufacturers falling through, prototypes failing, or ideas not translating as I hoped. But I knew this idea was unique.
Now the business is ready, and hopefully the world is ready too — to joke about work-related stress, to collect, and to enjoy.
Early Feedback
When I shared the prototypes, the response was incredible. People sent messages, voicemails, and even talked to their partners about which characters they wanted to see next. Feedback poured in through friends and colleagues, shaping future designs before they even existed.
The First Five Characters
The five dolls you see now — Karen, Helen, Janice, Luke, and Clive — are just the start. My goal is to build a community and expand the range. Future characters won’t be limited to office life.
I want to hear from you: who should be “stabbed” next? I already have so many ideas and suggestions. My head feels like it might explode!
Purpose & Fun
These dolls are not medical products. They are a fun way to cope with stress while bringing humour, collectability, and a little revenge fantasy into your life. They make perfect gifts for colleagues, friends, or as a secret Santa message to that “toxic coworker”. And if you just want to collect them, we hope you enjoy the creativity, details, and upcoming additions to the range.
Gratitude
I’m already deeply thankful to friends, family, and colleagues who supported me through this journey. And to everyone who supports the project — by purchasing, giving feedback, liking, following, sharing, or simply spreading the word — thank you. You’re helping make this project a reality and a source of fun for others.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. I want Stabcrifice to grow — more characters, more industries, more laughs. Each doll has a story, each doll has a ritual, and each doll brings a little stress relief, humour, and joy into everyday life.
Here’s to turning work-related frustration into creativity, and to the community that will make this project thrive.
